After months of testing, trial & error, and multiple race events VS is proud to announce the release of our latest product "VS - High Output Ignition Coils (HOIC)".

These coils are a great upgrade for those who appreciate the overall driving experience of their car as an everyday vehicle and great for those who are willing to push the limits of their engine. As the OE B58 style coil packs are a fantastic and well performing ignition coil from factory we still managed to reach the limit of them through simple tuning. In simple terms the OE coils can NOT hold charge for a long amount of time before releasing its energy, we used that issue to improve the upgraded coil. Dwell can be held for a longer period of time (recorded in Ms). The more energy it stores/charge during the dwell period the more energy/charge it releases when it comes time to fire. The OE coils weren't capable of holding such charge, they would prematurely release the energy pre-igniting the coil pack and firing again when commanded resulting in a double fire which causes ignition break-up/misfires.

• These upgraded coils are only available in the color red.
• Special request for different colors are accepted but will upcharge a bit more.
• We engraved our logo onto the coil and is only visible when within inches of the coil, we did this for you guys!
• Not everyone is a fan of showing off products with "cheesy" company logo engraved on it so these are the most aesthetically pleasing and best performing coils in the market!

Performance Information

• No changes are required to run the VS Upgraded coils on any of the cars listed below.
• These are the BEST absolute coil upgrade for N54 N55 & S55.
• The VS shop F80 M3 currently makes 1105WHP using these ignition coils thanks to the guys over at Nexys Motorsports for making an adapter to make these coils work.

For the best results we do NOT recommend gapping spark plugs when using these coils, gapping plugs only deteriorates the burn efficiency of the ignition setup. The larger the gap the more efficient burn you will get. ("0.030-0.031") Highly recommend OEM champion spark plugs straight from BMW dealership.

When it comes to custom tuning and adjustments we have seen the best results when raising the dwell time to 3.7Ms. Please consult your tuner if you want your dwell time optimized. Otherwise these are plug n play and will perform better right off the bat!
